The Valef story began in 1969, when owner Vassilios (Bill) Lefakinis, a graduate of Wharton School of Business, founded Valef Yachts, fulfilling the desire of well-heeled travelers clamoring for the untouched beauty and glamour of the Mediterranean. Valef provided luxury, privacy, and comfort and a preferred home away from home to explore the hidden gems and cosmopolitan enclaves of this then emerging and exclusive global destination. As the company grew, Valef refined its services and even launched Greece’s first yachting magazine, ‘Sea & Yachting”. Soon film, TV shoots, and celebrities came calling, bringing more international visibility to the brand.
