WEATHERBIRD is a unique custom-built, 2-masted French schooner, built in 1931 for Sara and Gerald Murphy, a jet-setting American couple from New England. She was built by the French shipyard Chantelot & Lemaistre in Chantiers Navals De Normandie with design by Heni Rambaud and Victor Orloff. She embodied the opulence of the artistic aristocrat aesthetic at the time, art deco style. The yacht became famous by hosting the likes of Zelda and F. Scott Fitzgerald, Cole Porter, Ernest Hemingway, Dorothy Parker, and Pablo Picasso aboard in the Mediterranean. She is 30 Meters / 98 Feet with a 21-foot beam and 12-foot draft. Her oak hull and teak deck and wheelhouse create an ambiance of natural refinement. She has just been totally refitted in 2022, preserving elements of her original design and character. Her classic beauty…
